My proud moment was finding a community that fit my interests. Coming to a large campus was challenging for me because I grew up in a very small town. I was scared I would not be able to find “my people”. Luckily I got involved in orgs and was able to find a welcoming community with similar interests as me!
Your advice for other First-Gen students
Attend festifall and get involved with everything you’re interested in! Put yourself out there and you will find your community!
